Lisa Beane – Executive Producer

Artist/Entrepreneur Lisa Beane was born in Virginia, a Jewish woman of African American, Native American and Creole descent. She received a BFA from Syracuse University.

As a fine artist, she has exhibited throughout the U.S. including in Atlanta, Chicago, New York and Washington D.C. Her work appears in private and public collections, including the Christopher Reeve Foundation, the National Urban League, Harrison Museum of Art, and the Blacjac Entertainment Group. In her work, Lisa never shies away from addressing difficult subject matter, while wholeheartedly embracing challenging issues and topics, exposing societal wounds to the light.

Her professional endeavors have included: Manager, Bozart Gallery, Charlottesville, VA;  Executive Producer, Roland Wiggins 2008, The Music Within documentary series; Co-producer, Todd Binder, CD; Literary editor, Journey to Brightness; as well as music related productions featuring Sean Puff Daddy Combs and MTV’s Making the Band 2. She founded JellyBeane Productions, LLC in 2008 to house and develop meaningful media production.

Lisa and her “soul mate and best friend” LeRoi Moore (saxophonist and founding member of The Dave Matthews Band,) were dedicated to helping alleviate the plight of orphaned and abused children. With LeRoi’s untimely passing, she re-committed herself to the cause. In his memory, Lisa became a driving force towards the realization of The Silent Children, a documentary film addressing the realities of child slavery, sex and organ trafficking.
